Elasticsearch with WordPress for Vets Community

The client is a popular vet community portal in UK. The portal is based on WordPress. It was using default WordPress search and results were not great for search. We implemented Elasticsearch to replace default search. The search results accuracy and performance improved which results more conversions from search. We also implemented search auto complete which enables users to search desired content quickly. When Elasticsearch 5 was released we upgraded our plugin to use Elasticsearch 5 hosted on Elastic Cloud. We also implemented stats module for search which records search terms, SERP and clicks by visitors. We used Kibana to create reporting dashboard for the search stats. These dashboard contain searched terms, click statistics, impressions, top posts displayed or clicked, top author and much more information. All this information help the business owner to tune the search and content on site as per community demand. We also provided front end optimization, and server performance optimization services to speed up WordPress website using Nginx, Varnish, Memcache etc.
